Supporting the Development of the Tashkent International Financial Center
At the Tashkent International Investment Forum, the World Alliance participated in a highly insightful panel discussion dedicated to the development of the Tashkent International Financial Center (TIFC). The discussion followed the opening address of the President of Uzbekistan, who highlighted TIFC as a key strategic priority for the country’s economic future.
The panel brought together senior representatives from government, international financial institutions, and the private sector to explore the critical success factors required for emerging financial centres to transform ambition into execution.
The session was moderated by World Alliance Vice Chair Hubertus Väth and featured Akshu S. Campbell-Holt, World Alliance’s Head of Member Relations. Drawing on the experiences of established international financial centres around the world, participants examined practical pathways for building globally competitive and sustainable financial ecosystems.

The World Alliance Managing Director Jochen Biedermann will contribute as a speaker at the Vietnam Financial Forum (VFF) 2026, taking place on 9–10 July 2026 at the Ariyana Convention Center in Da Nang, Vietnam.
The forum will bring together policymakers, financial leaders, investors, and industry experts for two days of high-level networking and strategic discussions on some of the most important trends shaping global finance.
Topics will include capital markets development, digital finance, financial infrastructure, sustainable investment, venture capital, and emerging technologies transforming the financial sector.
Held under the theme “Bringing the VIFC Project from Architecture to Execution,” the forum comes at a significant moment for Vietnam as it advances its ambitions to strengthen its position within regional and international financial markets.
