Global climate change is leading to an increase in extreme weather events such as floods, storms, and heavy rain, which can cause significant damage to buildings and infrastructure. Natural hazard insurance provides protection against such natural hazards and is therefore of great importance to the insurance industry and its policyholders.

A proposal is currently being debated in the German Bundestag that would require mandatory insurance for natural hazards. However, even without such a mandatory regulation, the industry faces the question of how such risks can be protected in the future in the face of climate change. What changes have already occurred for insurers, brokers, and insureds, what changes are foreseeable in the future, and what impact will these changes have on the respective business models and customer relationships? These are topics we would like to discuss with you at the 15th Stuttgart Insurance Day.

The event is considered proof of further training within the meaning of Section 34d Paragraph 9 Sentence 2 of the German Trade Regulation Act (GewO) in conjunction with Section 7 of the VersVermV.

The Stuttgart Insurance Day is a joint initiative of the Federal Association of German Insurance Brokers (BDVM), the Federal Association of German Insurance Salespeople (BVK), the Vocational Training Center of the Insurance Industry Southwest (BWV), the Federal Association of Insurance Executives (VGA), Stuttgart Financial and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Stuttgart Region.
