The WAIFC Annual General Meeting will be held in Tokyo this year

The World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC) is set to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Tokyo this October 2024, hosted by our esteemed member, Fincity.Tokyo. This significant event will kick off on October 14, bringing together representatives from leading international financial centers for a series of high-level discussions and strategic meetings.

The mission will begin with a visit from the Sapporo Financial Center representatives to Tokyo, marking a collaborative effort to strengthen ties and exchange insights on financial innovation and economic development. Following this, the WAIFC delegation will visit the Tokyo Stock Exchange, one of the world’s largest and most influential financial markets, to discuss the latest trends and future prospects in global finance.

The itinerary also includes a visit to Osaka, where the WAIFC will engage with business leaders from Osaka Prefecture. This segment of the trip aims to explore new opportunities for cooperation between international financial centers and local businesses, fostering a more integrated and dynamic global financial network.
