Stuttgart Financial

Baden-Württemberg  is the first state that elected a minister president from the greent party. It is one of the strongest economical areas in Germany and the EU, but environmental  orientation is still very present. With the  advisory board of  Stuttgart Financial the initiative involved political representatives in the financial center. Jointly, they organize the Financial Summit Stuttgart within the Financial Week, where high-level guests from the industry and financial institutions are invited to discuss new topics, and trends that affect our region and the world, once a year.

Baden-Württemberg is much more than Daimler and Porsche. There are many "Hidden-Champions", for example, Financial Services, Asset Manager, Insurances and Banks. There's a high concentration of SMEs that profit fom the local financial sector and access to capital. The well known high quality standard makes Baden-Württemberg the ideal location for successful business.

The Stuttgart Airport connects Baden-Württemberg State internationally. Additionally, local airports and dense road, rail, and highway networks can be found. With Europes biggest infrastructure project "Stuttgart 21", the region invests into smooth mobility especially for the railway network.

Baden-Württemberg is one of the most innovative regions in the world. The strongly export-oriented economy invests enormous amounts of money in research and development, and innovation. Recently, Baden-Württemberg was awarded the contract for a new quantum computer, making it the only location in Germany with such an infrastructure. Stuttgart Financial advocates to innovate the financial sector and therefore organises events as the FinTech Days to promote financial innovation in Stuttgart.

Baden-Württemberg's universities are continuously training highly qualified employees needed for a dynamic economy. In 2018, the unemployment rate in Baden-Württemberg was only 2.5% and thus below the national average.

Baden-Württemberg sets the highest educational standards for its schools, vocational schools and universities. Four of eleven universities of excellence are located in Baden-Württemberg. No other federal state has more than Baden-Württemberg. We are in close contact with universities and cooperate, for example, with the Banking- and Insurance Management Faculty of the University of Hohenheim.
