Women in Finance
A proposal for a Women in Finance initiative, with the objective of building a more diverse and gender-equitable finance industry, using the full potential of the workforce to meet future challenges, recruiting and retaining talented women, and identifying major issues such as senior management representation and pay gaps. The potential approach includes using existing research, setting up a working group with leaders from member organizations and their communities, and summarizing the results in a report.
The potential output includes a publication with statistics and short- and long-term implications, a webinar, and a signature in NYC of a Gender pledge for WAIFC members. The Gender pledge includes five main pillars: equity in recruitment, pay equity, diversity in top management, gender balance in decision-making and public events, and raising awareness through promoting gender diversity and inclusion in the financial centers.
