FinCity Global Forum: Tokyo's future as a global center of green finance
Our member FinCity.Tokyo hosted its third Global Forum "Tokyo's future as a global center of green finance" in Tokyo on 02 February 2022, co-organized by NIKKEI.
As global green competition intensifies, Japan aims to realize a carbon-neutral and carbon-free society in 2050. How will Japan / Tokyo take leadership and aim to become a green international financial city? FinCity.Tokyo invited industry leaders and stakeholders from home and abroad to discuss.
As global green competition intensifies, financial centers have to be faced with competition. At the same time, we need collaboration to solve global social issues.
On the panel "Collaboration among financial centers in the Post COVID19 era," moderated by Dr. Jochen Biedermann, Managing Director of the WAIFC, several WAIFC board members discussed why financial centers should collaborate, share opportunities and jointly address the challenges:
- Arnaud de Bresson, CEO, Paris Europlace
- Keiichi Aritomo, Executive Director, FinCity.Tokyo
- Nicolas Mackel, CEO, Luxembourg for Finance
- Philippe Richard, Executive Director, Abu Dhabi Global Market
