Meeting of the WAIFC FinTech Initiative in Nur-Sultan

WAIFC leaders and FinTech experts discussed best practices in FinTech talent development.

WAIFC representatives from Brussels, Busan, Casablanca, Frankfurt, London, Luxembourg, Mauritius, Moscow, Nur-Sultan, and Paris discussed best practices in FinTech talent development and capacity building during the Astana Finance Days, together with FinTech experts from the UK, Russia, and Kazakhstan.

Talent development is considered to be the single most important success factor in Fintech ecosystem building. In a lively discussion, we discussed different approaches like including FinTech into the curriculum of business schools, foreign education programs funded by local governments, short-term courses and MOOCs, as well as professional certification and re-training of seasoned financial professionals.

Please contact Jochen Biedermann, Managing Director of WAIFC, if you want to join the FinTech Initiative and participate as a guest speaker. The next event will be in Toronto on 6 September 2019.
